Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation
Dear MCWT Community,
First and foremost, we express our gratitude to everyone who supported this year’s Camp Infinity for middle school girls across Michigan. This year, Camp Infinity reached over 300 girls at 10 different educational institutions throughout the state!
The success of Camp Infinity exemplifies MCWT’s ongoing commitment to inspiring and growing girls in tech, encouraging their further explorations in technology right here in Michigan.
Take a look at Camp Infinity’s impact across the state:
In line with our mission, we are thrilled to announce that MCWT has been awarded a $500,000 grant for 2025! This funding will bolster our K-12 programming and our Reignite! program, aimed at retaining women with tech talent in Michigan. Learn more about how the funds will be used here.
During August, the MCWT staff will undergo an operational reset to strengthen our foundation and expand our reach. Based on valuable feedback from our community about enhancing engagement, we are pausing programming this month to improve your overall MCWT lifecycle experience.
As we progress through 2024, we encourage everyone to stay engaged, amplify our impact, and share your success stories. We are deeply grateful for the support of our stakeholders, newcomers to our community, and, above all, the state of Michigan.
Your unwavering support is instrumental in bringing our mission and vision to life. Thank you for being a vital part of the MCWT community.
Kind regards,
Dr. Orletta Caldwell
MCWT Executive Director
