MCWT is seeking passionate and detail-oriented volunteers to serve as Grant Team Members, supporting efforts to secure funding that advances our mission to inspire and grow women and girls in technology. This remote volunteer role provides an opportunity to contribute strategic support through research, writing collaboration, and grant preparation.
Grant Team Members will work alongside staff and fellow volunteers to help identify opportunities, strengthen applications, and support the overall grant development process.
Key Responsibilities
Volunteers may support a variety of grant-related activities, including:
Researching potential grant opportunities aligned with MCWT programs and priorities
Assisting with drafting or reviewing grant narratives and supporting materials
Gathering program data, impact stories, and organizational information for applications
Supporting grant tracking and deadline management
Helping maintain organized documentation related to grant submissions
Collaborating with staff and volunteers to strengthen funding strategies
Ideal Skills & Experience
We welcome volunteers who are:
Strong writers or editors with attention to detail
Organized and comfortable managing timelines and documentation
Interested in nonprofit development, fundraising, or program impact
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Passionate about supporting opportunities for women and girls in technology
Previous grant writing or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required.
Time Commitment & Structure
Approximately 5–10 hours per month
Work is fully remote with flexible scheduling
Collaboration may include occasional virtual meetings or asynchronous communication
