Sharmishta Roy

Sharmishta Roy is the Director of Software & Data Engineering at Ford Motor Company, where she leads the global delivery of real-time plant floor data products to drive AI enablement and streamline manufacturing digitization.  An award-winning technology leader, she has a history of spearheading enterprise-wide operational transformations that deliver significant cost savings and efficiency gains.

Deeply committed to empowering next generation of female technologists Sharmishta led the Women of Ford Global ERG, where she championed strategic initiatives and community outreach programs for women in STEM. Her contributions to the technology and automotive industry have been recognized with the 2024 Technology Rising Star Award from the Women of Color STEM Conference and the 2025 Automotive Rising Star Award.

Sharmishta holds a MBA from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. She also earned a Master of Science from Drexel University as a Dean’s scholarship recipient and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Pune.
