Priya Gurumurthy

Priya Gurumurthy is a results-driven IT Director with over 23 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy, and business process optimization. She has successfully led cross-functional teams in global organizations, managing multimillion-dollar initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. At Yanfeng International, she has spearheaded major digital transformations, including a global workforce management system, enterprise data analytics platforms, quality management system, and process automation solutions that have collectively saved millions. Priya’s expertise in aligning IT strategies with business objectives has made her a trusted leader in driving scalable and impactful technology solutions.

Beyond her technical acumen, Priya is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).  As the Women’s Resource Network Chair at Yanfeng, she has led initiatives that promote a more inclusive environment and encourage diverse talent in technology. Her leadership in DEI was recognized when she was named a “Notable Champion of Diversity” by Automotive News and a finalist for the CADIA Impact Awards. She continues to inspire change by mentoring women in technology and actively shaping industry-wide conversations on inclusive leadership.

Priya’s influence extends beyond the corporate world through her civic engagement and community leadership. As a City of Novi Council Member and an active leader in multiple nonprofit organizations, she is dedicated to fostering positive change at both local and industry levels. Priya earned a master’s in computer science from University of Texas at Dallas and Bachelor of Computer Science from University of Madras. She lives in Novi, Michigan with her husband and two teenage sons.
