Kiran Sekhri

With over 40 years of experience in information technology, Kiran Sekhri has built a career around innovation and transformation, solving problems, leading teams, and helping organizations use technology to work smarter. Over the years, she has served in a variety of roles — from systems analyst , database administrator to project manager and Chief Information Officer — gaining a well-rounded understanding of how technology supports people and business goals. She has a diverse experience of working in Corporate America and Higher Education. Currently she is working as Chief Innovation Officer with Wayne County Community College District.

As a board member of SIM Detroit she has served as the Chair of the Community Outreach Committee for over a decade. She brings practical insight, strategic thinking, and a deep appreciation for collaboration and enjoys mentoring others in the field and staying curious about how technology continues to evolve.
Outside of work, Kiran Sekhri values time with family, community involvement, and lifelong learning.
