Erika Kindlimann

Erika is a Security Architect at UWM, where her focus is on providing expertise in implementing security controls around the infrastructure. She is part of the Women In Technology group within UWM and co-leads the relationship between UWM and MCWT.
Originally from Chihuahua, Mexico, Erika moved to Michigan in 2001. With more than 20 years of IT experience, her career has progressed from Developer, Helpdesk Analyst, Network Engineer, Network Security Engineer, to Security Engineer, leading to her current role.
Having faced various challenges while transitioning between countries and adapting to different work cultures, Erika has participated in mentoring programs and is a strong advocate for women in IT. She supports women transitioning careers, returning to the work environment, or those who are minorities in IT.

Erika currently lives with her loving and supportive husband and their middle school-aged son.
