Cynthia Gumbs

Cynthia Gumbs is an accomplished Information and Technology leader with over 20 years of experience driving successful projects and programs. Currently, she directs the Business Acceleration Team within the Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDI&A) organization at Ford Motor Company. Her team empowers business users to leverage data effectively and solve critical challenges.

Known for her innovative thinking and collaborative approach, Cynthia excels at leading global teams to navigate change and achieve impactful results. This leadership was recognized in 2022 when she received the Modern Day Technology Leader award. Her diverse background spans various Ford Motor Company departments, including HR, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Product Development, the General Auditors Office, and Ford Credit, providing her with a unique cross-functional perspective.

Passionate about mentorship and allyship, Cynthia actively champions diversity and inclusion initiatives. As a dedicated supporter of MCWT, she volunteers for programs like Camp Infinity, Elevate, and Girls Rock IT.

Driven by a keen interest in the transformative potential of data, Cynthia recently spoke at the Google Next 2024 conference on Data Governance in the AI Era. She is currently developing expertise in prompt engineering to harness the power of generative AI.

Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Computer Based Information Systems from Howard University. Beyond work, she enjoys reading, biking, various arts and crafts, and supporting charitable causes.
