Exciting New Year Ahead – MCWT’s 2024 Initiatives Unveiled!

Dear MCWT Community,

Happy New Year! As we eagerly step into 2024, we’re thrilled to share the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for MCWT.

One of our primary goals for 2024 is to make significant strides in ambassadorshipscholarships, and geographical expansion. We’re committed to creating more opportunities and expanding our impact across the state.

Introducing new initiatives that we encourage everyone to engage with:

  • Scholarship Program: Empowering women to continue their educational careers in tech, this program has expanded to support women in community colleges for the 2024-25 academic year and will soon be expanding to support women attaining tech certifications.
  • WomenTechPreneurs: Providing a comprehensive support system for women in tech entrepreneurship, equipping them with the necessary skills, resources, and networks to thrive in Michigan’s competitive technology sector.
  • Together4Tech: Engaging male allies to support women in tech and break the gender disparity.
  • Regional Meetups: A local social uniting tech enthusiasts, educators, allies, students, and professionals to empower connections and growth and spread the mission and vision.

These initiatives are designed to inspire and grow women in tech, providing unique avenues for involvement and inclusion. Whether you’re interested in programming or fundraising, there are ample opportunities for you to stay engaged as a member and/or volunteer throughout the year.

Thank you for joining us on this tech adventure; your time and talents are invaluable as we work towards making Michigan the No. 1 state for women in technology.

Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with exciting possibilities and an amazing tech journey throughout the state!

Warm regards,

Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation
