A #GivingTuesday surprise: The performing arts department at Walled Lake Northern High School presented MCWT with a $490 donation, which they collected from patrons during their fall play, the Desk Set.
The play is adapted from a 1957 movie about a broadcasting executive who brings in a computer to replace a group of women working at the company. They soon learn they need the women as much as they need the computer.
“We chose your organization as our beacon because we really appreciate what you stand for in the frenzied climate we live in today. We believe women should receive equal pay for their equal talent. We believe in preparing young girls and women as early as possible for the lives they have ahead of them in the workplace – especially in male-dominated fields like technology and engineering.”
