MCWT hosted a Girls Rock IT program for 71 local Girl Scouts in Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
Curriculum focused on cybersecurity and enabled Girl Scouts to earn 2 badges – Cybersecurity Investigator and Safegards. The two badge sessions were led by a local cybersecurity professional.
Parents learned about the importance of keeping kids safe online from Sara Schmidt of Farmers Insurance. Schmidt is director of governance, risk and compliance at Farmers Insurance Information Security.
