Girls Solve IT finalists featured on WJR

Teams from MCWT’s Girls Solve IT program were excited to be featured on WJR’s Internet Advisor show to share their experience. Girls Solve IT Powered by Ford is a state-wide team competition for girls in grade 5-8. Thirty-nine teams participated in 2018, and 29 made it to the final competition.

450 Girls Explore Technology Careers on Girls GET IT Day

MCWT Leadership Featured at Women, Technology and Leadership Conference

The Women, Technology and Leadership event at Central Michigan University was inspiring, engaging and empowering for all attendees as they were encouraged to pursue an education and career in information technology, math, science and engineering. Students had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, and increase their network and knowledge about technology. 

FCA Hosts Middle School Girls to Learn Networking, Augmented Reality

The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation recently brought 75 middle school girls from Detroit to Auburn Hills to work hands-on with STEM technologies at FCA US. The girls are part of the foundation’s GET IT Girls (Girls Exploring Together Information Technology) after school program, where they learn things like coding and app development.
