Patrece Hamblin

Patrece started her Information Technology career working for Kmart Corporation while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Davenport University.  There her Information Technology fundamentals were developed for over ten years.  Shortly after graduating with a master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership from Oakland University in 1997, Patrece left Kmart and took a position at Chrysler Corporation.  Her IT skills, quality assurance and management opportunities led to a successful automotive career.

In 2002, Patrece built Onyx Benefit Resources Insurance agency. Using her IT and Insurance experience Patrece started working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MI. She is currently the Director of Planning and Initiative Management. Her Information Technology, Insurance, and compliance risk management background ensure projects are delivered on time, in scope, and within budget. Patrece has been an Adjunct Professor for Davenport University since 2013 in Health Information Management.

Patrece is active in her community and serves on several boards and organizations. Patrece has a loving husband and a daughter graduating with a master’s degree from Grand Valley State University in April 2024.
