The Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation announced Rebecca Bray as the nonprofit’s new president. Bray is chief sales officer of Epitec, an IT, engineering, and professional staffing organization. She has been an active member of MCWT since 2012 and joined the board of directors in 2014 where she served as Vice President in 2017. Bray replaces Carey Pachla, who led the organization since 2017.
Bray joined Epitec in 1998 as an IT recruiter. As the company’s chief sales officer, she leads sales and recruiting, delivery strategy, leadership development and succession planning, and growth initiatives. She earned a Bachelor in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and is ITIL Certified.
Jane Sydlowski will assume the role of vice president. Sydlowski is CEO and president of AMI Strategies, a technology expense management organization. .
Bray and Sydlowski will serve a one-year term alongside the MCWT executive board of directors. Pachla will continue to support MCWT as an advisory board member.
“MCWT has broadened its reach across the state of Michigan, including key program initiatives in Mid-Michigan and Grand Rapids,” says Bray. “This expansion of programs has led to new partnerships and puts MCWT in a position to gain momentum and positively impact more young girls and women to choose a career in IT.”
According to Bray, key priorities in 2018 will include:
- Operational excellence
- Enhanced customer experience
- Leveraging MCWT’s programs to increase reach and continue to grow and inspire girls and women in IT
