Students from Carver STEM Academy, Detroit, Ludington Magnet Middle School, Detroit and Stevenson Middle School, Westland, Mich., were invited to tour the Microsoft Technology Center in Detroit on Feb. 13, 2019.
The students were exposed to cutting edge uses of technology in business, and interacted with a panel of executives who discussed their careers and answered questions about how to prepare and succeed in a male-dominated industry.
The girls also enjoyed a fun coding activity using magic wands.
A total of 33 students attended the field trip.
