Kathryn Ramsay

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan

Kathryn or Katie Ramsay has been employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan since 2016 and an Advisory Board member for Michigan Council of Women in Technology since 2020.

At BCBSM, her team works to modernize existing technical infrastructure and provide long-term, member-centric solutions to health plan business. Katie works closely with diversity committees and community affairs teams to engage and educate the IT division.

Ms. Ramsay holds a B.S.b.a. with a major in Information Systems from Central Michigan University. She is both a Goodwin Endowment and Richard E. Veazy scholarship recipient, and spent year studying database and financial management at Korea University in Sejong, Republic of Korea. She returned to Central Michigan in 2015 to declare an International Business and Sustainable Development minor before graduation.

In 2019, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Economics from Wayne State University with a focus on health economics and econometric methods. She continues to mentor interns and new hires at BCBSM and finds tremendous value in building a future where Michigan is the number one state for women to study and have a career in technology.
