Amy Peters joined Dow in 1996 as an EDS contractor and as a Dow employee in 2008. What a journey it has been! Currently she is the Solution Delivery Leader and IT Leader within the ITS team. She works hand-in-hand with the service portfolio leaders, service managers, resource coordinators and other internal clients to facilitate the shaping and staging of all projects that need ITS engagement. She supports the ITS investment plans, the annual budget planning process, as well as overseeing all initiatives to optimize our costs and continuous improvement of the operating model on how work gets done as an enabling team. In addition, She is the CIO Inclusion Champion where she is able to apply her passion for people and be an active part of Dow’s inclusion journey.
During the first part of her career, she held a variety of roles in the commercial organization. She was part of the team that implemented a global reporting solution for the Customer Information Group (CIG), developed and implemented global metrics MET across six BPSC locations and supported the development and implementation of Sales and Marketing DSR dashboards. In 2014, she made a bold change and joined Information Systems as a Service and Support Manager for M&E and HR Services providing direction for I/S service support processes and serving as the partner and end user liaison for IT Services. She transitioned to the ESS Scale & Fulfill Team Manager where she managed five complex tracks in the Manufacturing Operations team as well as providing standard global team metrics to track performance, demand/supply and budgets.
Her true passion outside her day job centers around her family. She has two daughters, Ashley, and Nicole and two fur babies, Max and Cooper. Her favorite place to be is with her family, boating and relaxing at their home on Torch Lake.
