Angela is building a holistic high impact Insider Risk program bridging the gaps between multiple functions and lines of business across Dow. This program is focused not only on creating proactive strategies and operations to prevent, detect, and respond to malicious data extraction or manipulations, specifically Dow’s intellectual property, and trade secrets, but also to detect and mitigate risks posed by insiders to our personnel and assets globally.
Angela joined Dow in 2019 as the ES&S Global Intelligence & Protection Center, Senior Leader. In this role, Angela created and directed the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), Open-Source Analysis Center, and was responsible for Executive Protection, and the Threat Management Program. The GSOC, a 24/7 watch and warning center focused on identifying physical threats to Dow personnel and assets became fully operational in September of 2019.
Prior to joining Dow, Jago was a Senior Intelligence Officer in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (OUSD(I)), within the Department of Defense (DoD) in the Federal Civilian Service in Washington, D.C., serving as Deputy Director for Critical Technology Protection. Her focus was to assess, coordinate, and report on the conditions and trends in the protection of critical technologies as they impacted and supported National Security and DoD priorities and policies. Ms. Jago worked within the U.S. Intelligence Community for over 29 years in both a military and civilian service capacity where she was a key author in the establishment of the Washington Navy Yard Task Force Recommendations Implementation Plan creating the DoD-wide Insider Threat and Continuous Evaluation programs revolutionizing the security of the DoD. She also worked as a Counterintelligence Officer supporting critical DoD force protection programs, at both the strategic and tactical levels, throughout the world.
Angela has a master’s degree in business management from Troy University, a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Central Oklahoma, completed the US Army Command & General Staff College, has a certification in Cybersecurity from Harvard, is a Certified Threat Manager through the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, and has Insider Threat Management certifications from the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the US Department of Defense.
