Loretta Yakima

Loretta is an empathetic and innovative leader with over 25 years of experience in management of process improvements and digital transformation for Fortune 500 and medium businesses in many industries including management consulting, technology, automotive, and residential construction.  She is passionate about helping others be more effective and bringing significant value with creative technology solutions.  She builds strong relationships and loves to bring together IT and business teams to effectively deliver strategic initiatives

She currently leads the IT Corporate Applications team supporting Legal, Compliance, and Risk at AlixPartners.  She also leads the Women in Technology group for Americas.  She is a recent recipient of the AlixPartners Culture Carrier Award, which is an honor and cherished acknowledgement for the way she approaches work and builds camaraderie with colleagues from all areas of the business

Her other passion is inspiring youth to explore technology.  She has been involved with MCWT for over 17 years in many different capacities, such as leading the Robotics Grant Program, serving as Chief Mission Director for High School Programs, volunteering at countless events, supporting the community, and growing professionally alongside other admirable dedicated members striving to make Michigan the #1 state for women in technology.  She is also thrilled to be an active member of the Society of Information Managers (SIM), Detroit Economic Club, Inforum, and T200, where she seeks to strengthen connections and expand opportunities to reach more students

Loretta holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Oakland University and an MBA from Walsh College.  These accomplishments have served her well, but it was the 2-year coding program in high school that sparked it all.  She looks forward to applying her practical experience to identify more exciting opportunities to leverage technology to solve complex business problems and developing powerful teams to have fun bringing impactful solutions to fruition.
